plastic bags
toting a few nylon bags around certain items, especially toiletries, might be most helpful. Not only will they manage possible leaking, plastic bags also will turn out to be handy to keep dirty clothes in side of, as an improvised umbrella and as waste bags. Ziplock or other airtight plastic bags are the best.
